Although the message monitor can be used to gain an overview of the message flow in OTS, the majority of the time users will use the monitor to search for and view specific messages.
After applying your filters and once you have located the message you are searching for, select it in the results section to view the details in the Message Information section, further down the screen:
| Message ID: | This is the unique reference number for the message. | Created Date: | Date the message was created. |
| Message Ref: | For Pensions Cash this will be the Message ID. For Re-reg this will be the PTR. | Last Updated Date: | Date of last update to message i.e. when It was requested, acknowledged etc. |
| Message Type: | Name of the message type. | Requested Date: | Date message was requested. |
| Incoming Message Version: | Version of the message, e.g. pensionsintegreationv5 | Received Date: | Date message was Acknowledged. |
| Message Status: | Status of the message | Reset Date: | If message has had to be reset, date it was reset. |
| Message Source: | Reset User: | User who reset the message. | |
| Direction | Inbound or outbound | Retry Count: | How many retry attempts have been performed. This happens if the message gets stuck processing. |
| Sender: | Who has sent the message | Related Identifiers: | |
| Receiver: | Who is the intended recipient | NAK Reason: | Reason message couldn’t be Acknowledged by OTS (validation error). |
| PTR: | Re-reg only. Unique reference that customers use. | System Generated: | Did OTS generate the message. True or False. |
| STR: | Re-reg only. Unique reference for transfer instruction messages. | Outbound Iso File Created: | |
